Tingliao Yan masterfully combines delicate illustrative work with the natural variations of kiln-fired glazes, creating plates that possess a unique, ethereal depth. The rims are adorned with three-dimensional relief glazes, reminiscent of the luminous stained-glass windows of sacred spaces, adding a sculptural dimension to each piece.
